OLATHE, Kans., July 7, 2014 / Christian Newswire / — On July 16th through 18th, pro-lifers from across the nation will gather in the Kansas City area to attend one of the most unifying and empowering pro-life conferences in the history of the movement: For the Life of the World 2014.
Sponsored by the International Communion of the Charismatic Episcopal Church (ICCEC), but open to every denomination and creed, this pro-life conference draws together distinctive and diverse voices within the American movement, including:
- Fr. Frank Pavone of Priests for Life
- Ryan Bomberger of The Radiance Foundation
- Archbishop Craig Bates of the ICCEC
- Troy Newman of Operation Rescue
- Janet Morana of Silent No More
- Star Parker of Center for Urban Renewal and Education
- Fr. Terry Gensemer of Charismatic Episcopal Church For Life
- Bryan Kemper of Stand True Pro-Life Outreach
- Kristina Garza of Survivors
With three days of intense sessions on the most current pro-life issues, imperative hands-on training in pro-life outreach, expert panel discussions and even specialized training for youth, this conference exists to equip every Christian who believes in the sanctity of Life with the powerful tools and knowledge needed to translate faith and conviction into effective action.
“This is an incredibly unique event,” says Fr. Terry Gensemer, Director of CEC For Life and one of the many adept For the Life of the World speakers. “For the first time since Roe v. Wade, not only is a single denomination convening its clergy and congregants for the sole purpose of creating effective pro-life activists, but it is also extending that invitation to every pro-lifer in North America. This event has the incredible potential to propel the Church into a whole new wave of concentrated pro-life action.”
The conference sponsor, the ICCEC, actually originated within the pro-life movement over 20 years ago. Since then, the denomination has striven to build strong relationships among other pro-life communions and to engage the Christian culture with ecumenical opportunities geared specifically toward dynamic pro-life outreach and education.
“A successful culture of Life,” says Archbishop Craig Bates, Patriarch of the ICCEC, “will only come through Christ’s body. Our nation is in spiritual crisis, and if we, as Christians, hope to answer that crisis effectively, then we must unswervingly affirm Christian unity, the sanctity of Life, and the call of Christ to go out and make disciples. That is why For the Life of the World exists.”
