2025 Florida March for the Preborn

On Saturday, April 5, 2025, pro-life leaders and citizens from across Florida and the southeast gathered to stand for life at the inaugural Florida March for the Preborn. The march began at McCarty Park and continued down South Adams Street, culminating on the steps of Florida’s Historic State Capitol in Tallahassee. There, Bishop Jason Epps led CEC for Life’s “Liturgy for the Preborn”, joined by various statewide leaders who participated in the Liturgy’s prayers and Scripture readings.

The homily was shared among four powerful speakers: Dylan Fisher (Governor’s Faith Office), Lydia Taylor Davis (Students for Life of America), Kimberly Bird (Live Action), and Frank Pavone (Priests for Life). Each speaker delivered a bold and powerful message exposing the lies of the abortion industry, calling for the defunding of Planned Parenthood, and urging the movement to be proactive in defense of the preborn.

Due to a simultaneous “Hands Off” protest, the pro-life message of the Liturgy and speakers became a powerful witness to a plethora of pro-abortion individuals. Despite the crowd’s attempts to disrupt, the speakers and team stood firm, center stage on the steps of the Capitol.

In June, Defending Life Alliance of Florida was founded with the primary goals of establishing this permanent, annual statewide pro-life march, and fostering a culture of life in Florida. The organization’s President (Christian McGrew) and Vice President (Jimmy McAllister) reiterated the mission of the movement in Florida. It is time for pro-lifers across the state to be proactive and strengthen a culture of life in Florida, working toward the ultimate goal of ending abortion in the state.

Let Them Live, NIFLA, Florida Right to Life, Seven Weeks Coffee, and Live Action generously stepped up as sponsors for the march. Numerous other organizations were present and actively involved, including Priests for Life, Students for Life, Florida Voice for the Unborn, the Christian Family Coalition of Florida, Operation Save America, White Rose Resistance, the Women’s Health Center (Jacksonville), Emerald Coast Walk for Life, Care Portal, and others. The Governor’s Office also showed strong support. In addition, the Tallahassee Police Department and Capitol Police did an outstanding job ensuring the safety and security of all attendees.
