Greetings Friends!
The leaders from Youth Defence Ireland will be coming to Birmingham to film a special St. Patrick’s Day edition of “Life on the Rock” on the EWTN Network. They will also be participating in some local events that you are all invited to take a part in and get to know the group that has helped keep Ireland abortion free.
Wednesday March 16
We would like to invite you and your family to our big March event: SOLAS Fiesta! Which will be held in downtown Birmingham’s Cantina restaurant on Wednesday, March 16th @ 6:30 p.m.
Solas is the Irish word for “light,” and our passionate friends from the pro-life organization Youth Defence are absolutely beaming with it! Come and see these young folk shine as they offer up a sincere presentation on the pro-life movement in Ireland, and hear a few beautiful Gaelic songs sung by the ever lovely Ide Nic Mhathuna.
Food will be $12 per person at the door, which earns you two tacos from the taco bar, chips, salsa, and a drink. (6 & under eat for free!) (This includes tax and tip) If you’re not hungry, then there’s no charge. Just come out, enjoy the company, and help raise some funds for this amazing group of young people who wake up every day willing to fight against abortion and promote a culture of Life.
RSVP is not necessary, but if you know for sure that you’re coming, and you know how many are coming with you, we’d greatly appreciate a quick heads up via email or phone.
Also, please feel more than free to send this invite to everyone you know. These awesome young people have come a long way, and we’d like to show them as many smiling faces as we can!
Thursday March 17 (St. Patrick’s Day)
I Arise Today: Prayer on St. Patrick’s
“I arise today through a mighty strength” is the first line of the the Breastplate Prayer attributed to St. Patrick. It is also our plan for Thursday morning, March 17th, @ 9 AM.
After you have enjoyed a night of food and fellowship at the SOLAS Fiesta, come out to the New Woman All Women abortion clinic on 1001 17th St S and stand with Youth Defence, CEC For Life, Survivors and many other pro-life groups for the sanctity of life and the glory of our Mighty King.
As many know, that small strip of sidewalk has been a place of intimidation and fear for the Birmingham pro-life community, but no more. God has handed that sidewalk back to us. He has exposed the deception of the enemy and allowed us the grace to stand as citizens and as saints in prayer for the children being sent to death inside.
Come and join us. 9 AM. Thursday morning, March 17th. Arise today, with a mighty strength.
On Thursday afternoon at 4:30 PM you are all invited to be a part of the audience of Life on the Rock at the EWTN Studio in Irondale, Alabama as Youth Defence shares what God is doing to build a Culture of Life in the Emerald Isle.
